    Introduction

CBD products have become a hype over the past few years. There are all kinds of research studies proving certain benefits associated with taking CBD regularly, some of them more conclusive than others.

There are no doubts about it. It may still be a bit early to determine the optimal dose or long-term benefits, but there are certainly some advantages in the short run. Apart from such studies, it’s also the growing popularity of CBD. If it was just another scam, it would’ve been gone within months only.

However, it’s still around. Different people with different needs may not always find relief from medication. Moreover, medication has side effects due to the chemical profile. So, is full-spectrum CBD oil right for you then? Here’s what you need to know.

    Full-Spectrum CBD Oil

Full-spectrum CBD oil vs. other varieties

The word has gained a completely different meaning when it comes to CBD. The spectrum relates to the wide variety of cannabinoids in hemp. Broad-spectrum CBD oil is not just CBD but an extract that includes other cannabinoids as well, including terpenes in some cases.

When it comes to broad-spectrum options, it’s worth noting that different manufacturers have different formulas. Therefore, cannabinoids and their effects vary from one brand to another. The main thing to define broad-spectrum CBD oil is the fact that it has no traceable quantities of THC in its composition.

Some of the main cannabinoids you’ll find in broad-spectrum oil include CBD, CBN and CBG.

Now, full-spectrum CBD oil includes all the cannabinoids. It has a bit of everything but higher amounts of CBD, which is the main component. Overall, there are more than 100 cannabinoids in hemp, and they’re all part of the formula.

Hempati full-spectrum CBD oil is the best example of this. They carefully follow every step of the production process to ensure that the product meets high standards, and they always comply with EU laws regarding THC content (less than 0.2%). It may still be a bit of it, but it’s not enough to get you high. If you go through drug tests regularly, it may be worth some consideration.

Now, why do people go for full-spectrum CBD oil? Before digging into various benefits, you need to understand the entourage effect.

The entourage effect in full-spectrum CBD oil

While cannabis is considered illegal in many countries, the truth is its benefits have been appreciated for an extended period. Its benefits in wellness have been documented for hundreds of years, especially in countries like China, India and Iran.

There were no actual studies back then, as scientists only started picking up on the trend during the last century. Classic cannabis wasn’t that rich in THC, but breeding was altered during the 1960s. Modern research has revealed the fact that new breeds are higher in THC than ever.

Different ingredients in hemp have different benefits for the human body. Many of them won’t intoxicate you but provide a relaxing experience. Take CBN, for example, which is also referred to as the sleeping cannabinoid.

On the other hand, CBD enhances some of the good effects of THC while cancelling the bad ones.

The entourage effect relates to cannabinoids enhancing each other’s properties. The more cannabinoids you get in your CBD oil, the better the effects. Now, can full-spectrum CBD oil actually benefit you? Here are its main effects.

Effects over depression, anxiety and sleep-related problems

A recent study published in The Permanente Journal conducted on people suffering from sleep-related problems and anxiety showed some improvement in the symptoms. The test was conducted with CBD capsules, though, rather than oil. However, the effects are the same. In fact, oil is even better for absorption.

Anxiety levels were decreased by nearly 80% within the first month. On the same note, nearly 70% of the patients observed some improvement in their sleep, meaning insomnia was dramatically reduced.

There are, of course, more tests out there. Some of them require a broader type of research rather than just dozens or hundreds of patients. However, based on such studies, it looks like CBD oil is extremely useful to help people relax.

And when you relax, all the problems become milder, from anxiety and depression to insomnia. That’s actually one of the main reasons why people take full-spectrum CBD oil regularly, reporting excellent results.

    Effects over painful sensations

The same rule applies to the effects of full-spectrum CBD oil over painful sensations. More studies are needed, but the current ones are positive, hence the popularity of such oil among patients.

A study published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences analyzed the effects of a mix of CBD and THC in people suffering from pain, whether chronic or acute. Results were encouraging; some patients showed improvement in as little as a week, while others needed a few weeks to notice results.

From a scientific point of view, it looks like CBD can tackle neuropathic pain by helping the body relax. Such pains can be associated with various affections, from rheumatoid arthritis to multiple sclerosis.

Its potential is still not 100% clear, but then again when classic medication doesn’t work, a natural alternative is always worth a try. And since people report good results and improvement in pain management, it’s clearly one of the top reasons behind the popularity of CBD oil.

    Effects of vomiting and nausea

Vomiting and nausea are often associated with other conditions or even medical treatments. For example, they’re often caused by chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. A study from 2020 published in the Annals of Oncology shows that full-spectrum CBD oil can actually reduce these symptoms.

The study was conducted on patients taking both CBD and medication against nausea. Since CBD is considered a natural alternative, side effects are less likely to occur. However, about 33% of all patients experienced symptoms like sedation. But then, 85% of them preferred this treatment for its good effects.

    Effects over epilepsy

Epilepsy can also occur as a side effect of various conditions, such as Dravet syndrome. Tests in some patients showed that over 40% of the patients experienced half as many seizures as before over more than three months.

But then, adverse effects have also occurred, such as vomiting. More tests are required, but since CBD can actually reduce nausea and vomiting, it’s believed that such side effects were actually caused by medication.

Other benefits of full-spectrum CBD oil

CBD oil is associated with various positive effects and can be used in all kinds of circumstances. Here are a few other options:

-Relaxation. When taken regularly, CBD oil can make you mellow. Relaxation is also why you sleep better after taking the right dose, not to mention a reduction in anxiety and depression.

-Exercise recovery. Athletes from all over the world rely on CBD oil to recover after intense games and competitions, as well as workouts.

-Stress management. A more relaxing approach to life can also help you reduce the levels of stress in certain situations, such as after a long day at work.

-Body balance. Full-spectrum CBD oil is involved in many body functions. Overall, it can maintain homeostasis, which is the body’s capability to keep a healthy balance.

    Conclusion

Full-spectrum CBD oil does come with a wide variety of benefits. Many are backed by scientific research, yet such studies are quite limited. However, results are encouraging, and with more and more people reporting positive results, it’s no surprise why it’s so popular these days.

As with every new supplement or natural approach, it might be a good idea to consult a doctor before taking full-spectrum CBD oil, especially if you suffer from an affection or you take certain medication.

As for the perfect dose, start with a low one and increase it gradually every week or so. Effects vary based on everyone’s health and weight, hence the necessity of trial and error.
